RuleBindery

Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-10-02

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RuleBindery, provided by Intelligetic ("RuleBindery," "we," "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using RuleBindery, you agree to these Terms.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your content is yours

RuleBindery is built around this principle: your project files — rules, entities, and assets — belong to you. We claim no ownership over anything you create in RuleBindery. You grant us only the limited rights needed to store, process, and transmit your content in order to provide the service to you (for example, storing it so you can reach it from any browser you sign in from, running validation, or generating an export).

Full export of your project — in open, plain-text formats — is available to every account, including free and lapsed ones, at any time. See Data Handling.

Acceptable use and content neutrality

RuleBindery does not moderate the content of your projects — we're a production tool, not a publisher. This applies to lawful project content only. It does not extend to:

  • Illegal content
  • Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property rights

If you believe content hosted through RuleBindery infringes your rights or is otherwise unlawful, contact us at support@rulebindery.com and we'll respond per our documented process.

You may not use RuleBindery to violate applicable law, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer (beyond what applicable law permits), or gain unauthorized access to the service.

Fair use of unlimited features

Where a plan includes something without a stated limit — such as unlimited reviewers on Publisher and Studio — it's there for the normal work of making your books: playtesters, editors, licensors, and the like. We may limit use that puts an unreasonable load on the service, or that uses it for something other than making your books, such as distributing a finished book to its readers. Except where the use is harming the service or other customers, we'll contact you first and give you a reasonable chance to adjust.

Subscriptions and payment

Paid tiers, trials, refunds, pauses, and what happens if a subscription lapses are all covered in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. Payments are processed by Polar.sh as merchant of record.

AI policy

RuleBindery's commitments on generative AI and training are set out in full in our AI Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using RuleBindery and delete your account, a workspace you own, or a project at any time; see Data Handling for what happens to your data afterward. We won't delete your projects merely because a subscription ends or lapses — you keep read, edit and export access. If we ever introduce deletion for inactive accounts, we will give at least 90 days' notice by email, with reminders and instructions for exporting your work, and it will not apply to an account with an active subscription. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

Service "as is"

RuleBindery is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep the service reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Intelligetic is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of RuleBindery. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of RuleBindery is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify you directly. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
