14-day free trial
Every new account starts with 14 days of Publisher — no card required. Since we never collect payment details for the trial, nothing is ever charged automatically; you move to Free unless you choose to subscribe.
30-day refund
Paid and it's not working out? Full refund within 30 days of your first payment, no questions asked.
Pause up to 6 months
Between books? Pause self-service instead of cancelling — resuming later is a single toggle, not a fresh sign-up.

Billing questions
- Do you offer team or multi-seat plans?
- Yes — Studio, $35/mo for up to 5 seats, then +$7/seat/mo up to a 20-seat maximum. A seat is anyone who edits. Your team works on every title with admin, editor and reviewer roles, and freelancers can be given access to just the projects they're hired for. Editing is single-writer with an advisory warning if someone else already has a document open, rather than simultaneous real-time co-editing. Studio is self-serve — start from the pricing page and pick your seat count at checkout.
- Can my editor or playtesters give feedback without me paying for seats?
- Yes. Invite them to a project as reviewers: they read it, comment right where the rules are — on a passage or a single statblock field — and never take a seat. Free includes up to 3 reviewers; Publisher and Studio include unlimited reviewers, who can also suggest edits you accept or reject. Reviewers only see the project you invite them to.
- What happens to my projects if I cancel?
- Nothing is held hostage. You keep full read, edit, and source-export access to every project, indefinitely. Only the Publisher-specific export targets (unwatermarked screen PDF, HTML SRD, errata documents) re-lock.
- How does the 30-day refund work?
- Contact us within 30 days of your first Publisher payment and we'll refund it in full — no questions asked. It covers that first payment only, not every renewal charge.
- Can I pause instead of cancelling?
- Yes, self-service, for up to 6 months at a time. Cancelling doesn't put your projects at risk either (see above) — pausing's advantage is convenience: resuming later is a single toggle, not a fresh sign-up.
- Do prices include tax?
- Polar.sh, our payment processor, acts as merchant of record. Prices shown are tax-exclusive — VAT/GST, where applicable, is calculated from your location and added at checkout.
